How I Read Without Actually Reading

I like to listen to stuff while I'm at work. Especially if I'm working late. A girl that I know is a writer, and one of her stories was recently featured on this site that I have really come to enjoy. Her story is called "The Cry of the Immortals." If you have some time to listen to it, pull up a chair and listen, old school-like. Or put it on your mp3 player for future listening while you exercise!

Also, this same guy who reads her story reads a lot of stories (classic tales, if you will) and posts them in a podcast every Friday. You can even download them for free. I have totally been enjoying listening to the stories. I get a lot more reading done this way! Seriously, though. Enjoyable. It gets a huge recommendation from me.

Is that anyone we went to school with, or do you know them from somewhere else?

I actually know her from church. If you listen to it, tell me what you think!

Also, apparently I planted it in her mind to make it into a book with pictures. So, we'll see if that happens.

This is totally off the topic, Cardine, but will you post a picture of your new guitar?

Yes. :)

You must be in the middle of changing your color scheme, because I can't see the body of your posts. :) Oh well. I can comment on this subject anyway!

I think it's cool that you "read without actually reading". The podcasts sound interesting, if I ever have internet access on a Friday evening.

I want to see your new guitar, too! Can't wait 'til we can "jam" together. :)

Hmmm... what happened? I haven't even logged in since last week! I'll have to fix it!

From what I can tell, it's a Blogger problem. I have the right codes in. You can highlight my post to actually read it for now. I should go whine about it on the help page.

I like listening to books on my iPod. Thanks for the references - I going to bookmark them.

This is a great idea. Maybe I should do this instead of watching movies while I scrapbook. Could totally read the Newbery's faster!

listening to stories is very fun. I recomend listening to books on tape (or CD) while driving. Especially if you have a long drive to work. I tried it out, but then my CD player wouldn't work. It was a sad thing because I figured I could hear stories and drive at the same time. Maybe when I get a new car.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out.

I think that is a lot of fun. Listening to stories. And it improves listening skills.

Yes. Yes, I will update this soon.
