Month of Stealing Posts: The Pioneer Woman Cooking

I know that a few of my readers are fans of The Pioneer Woman for various sections of her blog. The one that I enjoy the most is her cooking blog. Clearly it's not the photo blog. I am still using the 3.1 megapixel camera that I bought in, like 2002 or something. I think my phone has a better camera on it now. Oh. Maybe not. 2.0 megapixels. Anyway, I am going to steal her post and do her blog right here on my blog. I hope that you enjoy it every bit as much as I do. And I do.

Leftover Pizza: What Every Single Girl Who Actually Came From *Utah Pioneer Heritage and Now Uses Modern Conveniences Eats

*Think handcarts, covered wagons, and settling the Utah Territory

First, get out a plate. Hopefully you have a clean one in your cupboard. Take it out, and put it on the counter.

Next, open the refrigerator. There should already be a pizza box there. Take out the pizza box.

Put the pizza box on the counter. Open the lid. Admire the leftover pizza. Doesn't it look delicious?

Put a piece of pizza on that plate.

Those are stray pieces of crust on the plate. It's not dirty, I swear!

Now here is where it gets tricky. You can either eat the pizza now cold, which is delicious, or you may choose to put it in the microwave oven. If you choose the latter, put it on for about 45 seconds to a minute. The amount of time varies, depending on your microwave. My opinion is that you should not overheat it. Better under than over, I always say.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what I was saying there, either. But hopefully you got a chuckle out of it.

Oh yeah, and after you heat it up, eat the piece of pizza already! Geez. Do I have to tell you everything?

And also, I am **giving away a KitchenAid and/or a cookbook to a random commenter on my blog. Entries will be accepted until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. MST.

**Prize will be given away subject to Cardine winning said products off of The Pioneer Woman's current prize drawing, which ends tomorrow morning. If Cardine does not win, neither do you. Sorry.

Amen.

Nice Cardine! What I want to know is where's the pizza from? The delicious spot located in the gas station?

Ewan says, "Thank you for sending us a letter for Thanksgiving. Also, we love you. We so love you. And come back again."

Nice plates.

Your hair looks so shiny in that picture. Have you been brushing it 100 strokes every night like our pioneer ancestors did?

Hilarious! I love that you did a "cooking" post! SO funny. That was pretty good pizza - was it from the place Flaur asked about?

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night - are you sure I can't bring anything?

P.S. Just checked PW's website and was disappointed (but not surprised) to find that neither of us won. Sigh. I was at least hoping for the cookbook. That red mixer would've been awesome, though! Sigh. Maybe someday.

But then you have to wash the plate....
(You don't want to see the inside of my microwave.)

So... what part of The Pioneer Woman blog did you steal? I don't follow her blog, so I don't immediately recognize anything.... but, that's a picture of you, right? Did you make up the post in the style of Pioneer Woman?

Hmmmm...I haven't eaten a cold piece of pizza in a long time and I've grown accustomed to my food being ridiculously hot, so I don't know about better underdone than overdone. Did you noticed how beautiful and shiny your hair is in that picture? Gorgeous!

Jess - Thanks! I thought you might like it.

Yes, Flaur. The pizza is from the delicious spot located in the gas station!

Ruth - FYI, the usage of any other name for me besides Cardine on this blog is prohibited.

Awwww... thanks banana and Ewan! (for the plates, too!)

dub - Actually, I'm not positive that I had even brushed my hair that day. I combed it when I got out of the shower and maybe brushed it shortly thereafter, but that could have been it. And the photo was taken at night.

Julie - So sad that we haven't won yet.

Laurel - Actually, I DO want to see the inside of your microwave now.

Sarah - Yes, all of this "stealing" is me doing posts in the style of that blog.

Thanks, Mellissa!

I'd rather have under-done cookies than over-done cookies anyday, just like reheated pizza.

That's odd I went through a very similar process just the other day... and in that same kitchen! Except... I din't do the whole refrigerator part. Oh and did you know that your microwave has a pizza reheating tutorial? Yeah I used it. Not bad. Ü
