I confess that for the past little while, food hasn't really appealed to me.
I KNOW! How is that possible?
Well, sometimes when life gets going too quickly, it seems like I don't have the time to sit back and enjoy the things that roll past my tongue, down my esophagus, and into my stomach. And the thing is, I really love to eat, usually. Food is like my constant; it's like my thrice daily lover.
And so, thank you to banana, who can always seem to remind my taste buds of my eternal loving relationship with food through her various concoctions, such as this evening's chicken with mango salsa. There are also some other family members/friends that I have who really know how to cook some great stuff. They have also helped me maintain to a small degree my stalker-like obsession with food over the past little while when I had almost turned from my love for it.
Really, food and I have a multi-faceted relationship. I hope you understand.
Also, please remind me that I do not like the orange or general chicken at that Chinese place. I keep forgetting, and I always order it, and every time I think to myself, I never want to order this again. Please, I beg of you. Thanks.

I guess that's a request for me to post the recipe for my chicken with mango salsa.
Yes, banana. That dish sounds scrumptious.
Thrice daily lover. Hee hee. Eternal loving relationship. OK, yeah. Stalker-like obsession. Ummm....
Sounds like you need to get the spark back into your relationship with food. Have you thought about going on a nice romantic vacation to get reacquainted with food? Italy is a good place for that. I've also been told that France or Spain can be ideal. Just don't go to England or Canada.
I don't know whether to express my sympathy or celebrate with you. Having a significant appreciation of food myself, sometimes I'm happy to enjoy the bounty but other times I wish I didn't love it so much. I'm sure there's a balance - I hope we both find it!
banana - yes
dub - I said that the relationship was multi-faceted. :)
Also, when you make me tasty Indian food, it's like I don't even have to go on a nice romantic vacation to rekindle the love.
Yeah, Julie - I can't quite seem to find the balance. It's like I'm always somehow moving towards equilibrium but never finding it.
Life does get too busy to enjoy the most simple pleasures.... like food...
Thanks for bringing some food over to my place! :)
