The other day I decided to go to a local nursery to purchase some flowers and some gardening items, since I didn't have much in the way of gardening items. As I bypassed a creepy human-animatronic-creepy-dude-guy-thing-man-farmer that totally freaked me out as I entered the greenhouse area, I made my way to the flowers section.
There was a little boy of about six years that I didn't know sitting at a picnic table. He greeted me:
Little Boy: "Didn't you bring your kids for me to play with?"
Me: "I'm sorry. I don't have any kids."
Little Boy: "Oh. Well, then you need to find one in your belly sometime, and then later I could play with them."
Me: "Oh, but I'm not married."
Little Boy: "Okay, so then you need need to find a man who has never been married and then get married."
Me: "Yes. Yes, I do need to do that."
I guess there's a shortage of children to play with in the flower section of nurseries, and I am so not pulling my weight around here in that area.

You do need to do that. I'm in love with this kid.
On the same note, you should follow my new blog which is a celebration of successful marriages complied by moi, the unmarried, but hopeful future participant in marriage.

Awesome.
Interesting that he suggests a man who has never been married. Hmmm...
So, the other day my 3-year-old niece came to my house. When she saw that I had a couple mattresses in my guest room, she asked where my kids were. Well... at least I think that's why she asked.
I take it you went to Ladybug - that thing they have at the entrance is way creepy....so, little kids....gosh they can say some interesting things. Hilarious - love it!!!
nice. My kids say things like that about certain single friends who have visited us as well. Like, "Why don't they have kids, why don't they just get married so they can have some," etc. I'm just glad they haven't said it to anyone's face. Yet. Kid's say the darndest things. In flower sections especially.
Well, duh, everyone knows about the kid in the flower section waiting for friends to play with. It's like an offering one must bring in order to partake of the glorious flowers.
